Walla Walla Valley AVA | River Rock Vineyard
“Checking in as a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, and 9% Cabernet Franc, raised in 68% new French oak, the 2020 Bellamy sports a vivid purple hue as well as killer notes of cassis, currants, spring flowers, graphite, and lead pencil. It’s rich, concentrated, full-bodied, and flawlessly balanced. Don’t miss it.” 94-96 points, Jeb Dunnuck, jebdunnuck.com
“The name is taken from “Belle amie,” It displays a semi opaque ruby color and an intoxicating nose of blackberry, black cherry, Damson plum, black currant, crushed black roses, cigar box, sandalwood, black olive, violets and oriental incense. The flavors, as well, are dramatic, with layers of dark fruits that are infused with licorice root, dark cocoa, French roast and rock and silt minerals. On the back, the wine tightens up a bit, with sensations of macerated berries, roasted walnuts, mocha, toffee, kirsch and cassis liqueurs, integrated oak and graphite, all pushing on into a lengthy firm yet ripe tannin finish.” 19.5/20 points, Rand Sealey, Report of Washington Wines
