The Walls Vineyards

2019 BELLAMY cabernet sauvignon

Rocks District AVA | River Rock and Freewater Vineyards

The name Bellamy is taken from “Belle Amie,” or beautiful friend and features the object of Stanley’s affection on the label, where he can be seen on the outside of the wall, handing her a bouquet of flowers.

“The 2019 Bellamy offers a ripe, rounded, sexy style loaded with ripe plum and blackberry fruits as well as tobacco, meaty herbs, pot roast, cedar pencil, and floral aromas and flavors. It’s also terrific on the palate, offering full-bodied richness and ripe, velvety tannins. It’s going to drink brilliantly pretty much right out of the gate, yet I suspect it will keep for two decades.”

94-96 Points, Jeb Dunnuck

“The 2019 Bellamy checks in with a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 19% Merlot, and 2% Cabernet Franc and displays lovely aromas of black plum, black currant, graphite, tobacco leaf, and red licorice on the nose. This wine is very well made, like all of The Walls wines, and has an impeccable balance which allows it to be able to be enjoyed now (with a long decant) or over the next decade. It’s silky and rich on the palate, bringing flavors of blueberry pie, cedar, herbs, and toasted anise seed. Tannins are a bit grippy so give this some time and you will be richly rewarded.”
