2017 Lip Stinger
ACCLAIM

THE STORY
‘There is no place like Rhône’ and the 2017 “Lip Stinger” is the perfect tribute to both the saying – and the place!
Although it is predominantly Grenache Blanc, the true secret to this wine lies in its varietal blend. Grenache Blanc is blended with other white Rhône varietals grown at French Creek including Picpoul, Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette Blanc, and Viognier. The name is directly translated from Picpoul which means “stings the lip,” referring to the grape’s naturally high acidity. Our Lip Stinger is an age-worthy uncommon white that is expressive of its Washington State terroir.
TASTING NOTES
Aromas of white fruit, such as Asian pear, with floral notes, soft and round mouthfeel, mild and well-integrated acidity, distinct brininess, flavors of unripe pineapple and lychee with a slightly herbaceous finish of fresh fennel seeds. Excellent aperitif and pairs well with chevre, olives, or oysters.
