“The 2019 Syrah Mahana has a rocking nose of red and blackberry fruits as well as flowery incense, peppery spice, and sandalwood. It has a rounded, mouth-filling texture, full-bodied richness, and sweet tannins as well as brilliant balance, all pointing to a great Syrah that will have 10-15 years of longevity.”

“It saw a touch of stems and is still resting in 30% new French and Austrian oak. Ripe black fruits, peppery herbs, bacon fat, iron, and floral notes define this exotic, medium to full-bodied, round, seamless, beautifully textured 2020. It should shine right out of the gate yet keep for 10-12 years.”
